Bun Bu Ryo Do

As we all know, you need to master both the pen and the sword to be a true master of the art of Karate. In Japanese they call this “Bun Bu Ryo Do”. Well, I thought we should get some exercise in the art of “Bun” today (the pen), so I drew a little for you.

Below you will see ten pictures illustrating various Karate (and Kobudo) related situations. But what does the picture show, exactly? Your job is to look at the picture carefully, and then come up with an answer.

The real answer (to every picture) is found under the picture.

Don’t look at the answers before you have guessed! That’s cheating, and we all know there are no shortcuts to mastering “Bun Bu Ryo Do”.

Well, that’s it!

How did you do? Quite easy, right? I’ll just have to make it harder the next time… “Bun Bu Ryo Do” – The pen and the sword – Now you’re one step closer to perfection.

However… I don’t really think this was what the old masters had in mind.

Whatever.
